 CUSSED ROADS Bhalessa has a very tough terrain so the communication system/means of transportation is very difficult. The area is located in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir is still facing step motherly treatment and authorities are reluctant to act as the transportation in the area is in a bad shape. In this age of digitalization, the area is witnessing an acute transport like buses for the poor masses to travel from one hamlet to another.           Notwithstanding claims of the successive state governments to accelerate developmental activities in the remotest areas of the Jammu region, the Bhalessa area of Doda district exposes all claims of the authorities to take "revolutionary" steps for the development and betterment of the neglected and the remote areas.  PHYSICAL FEATURES The narrow road snakes its way through awe inspiring mountains and towering slopes, throwing up enormous clouds of dust. It passed by little hamlets, comprising a couple of houses built around pagoda-shaped mosques and box-like temples with sloping roofs made of corrugated iron. Children play cricket on improvised pitches on patches of land left fallow or laze around on conical haystacks. Weather-beaten Bakkarwal men, with their hennaed beards and loosely wound turbans, lead flocks of hairy mountain goats. Their children and womenfolk follow after them, driving mules laden with pots, pans and bedding - their mobile homes. Bhalessa residents demanded ADC

DODA, Oct 25: The inhabitants of Bhallessa have expressed resentment over the attachment of Sub Division Bhalessa with Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC Bhaderwah) without keeping in mind the proximity of the area and demanded immediate withdrawal of the decision. Speaking on the occasion, Sadaket Malik, President Bhalessa Heritage Society said that the decision of the Government  for attaching Sub Division Gandoh with ADC Bhaderwah is unjust and need withdrawal keeping in view the proximity of Bhallessa and Thathri with District Headquarter Doda. The distance from Bhalessa to Thathri is just 30 Kilometers. There has been a strong resentment among the citizens of Bhalessa against the decision of the Government for attaching Bhallessa with ADC Bhaderwah.
