Bhalessa Religious Canvas Sadaket Malik MARKAZI JAMIA MASJID AND KALGONI TEMPLE THE   area has several temples in the vernacular style in Bhalessa area. Some of them are in Bheja and Gandoh. The main temple Kalgoni may be a typical example such temples and is located at an idyllic location on the top of a ridge, providing a magnificent panoramic view on all sides. Most of the temples are surrounded with thick deodar trees, away from habitation. It is named after the major stream of Bhalessa "Kalgoni' which stretches from "Kansozoo" and merges into the Chenab thereafter. The Kalgoni Temple has all along remained a source of Hindu Muslim amity. The surroundings of this temple are virtually barren. In front of the temple, at a distance, is a raised platform (Chabutra). GEOGRAPHY

Geography Lies 32° 57' 50.50" N 75° 58' 48.88" E. There are most famous mountain peaks/Dhars in Bhalessa like  Mehlwar Pass , which rise to a height of 7705 ft.above sea level. The area is endowed with vast wealth of natural beauty and resources. Full with natural endownments, scenic splendour, places of tourist interest, Worship, round the year snow claded mountain peaks and challenging tracks allure the adventurers and trekkers.The area has good potential for tourism including pilgrim and adventure tourism, The Kalgoni Temple, Durga Maa shrine at Tipri khaljugasar deserve special mention here. owing to its captivating scenic splendour, pilgrim centres and lofty mountain peaks. Unfortunately, there area is in shambles due to unexploration. About Sadaket Malik Sadaket Malik is the founder, crusader and benefactor of   NSWA NGO). Mithun Manhas MITHUN MANHAS Mithun Manhas is a cricket player from Bhalessa Village of Jammu in India . An experienced player at India ’s domestic level, has put his village on drivers seat as the local youth got inspired owing to his presence in national repute.              Manhas has been part of the Delhi Ranji team since the 1997-98 season. He was also part of the Delhi Daredevils Twenty20 team during the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League.              A wicketkeeper-batsman, Manhas has a brilliant batting average of 51.6 in the List A level and 43.3 in the First-Class level. He also holds the distinction of having scored a First-Class double-century – an unbeaten 205. With over 8,000 runs under his belt, including 19 tons and 47 half-centuries, Mithun Manhas has been one of Delhi ’s prolific run-getters. Manhas has also performed admirably behind the wickets, with a total of 117 dismissals to his name. Manhas was also a surprise inclusion in the Challenger Trophy in

Mohammed Sharief Niaz   A man who awakened Bhalessa  MOHAMMAD SHARIEF Niaz , rated high in the realm of politics, was the only torch bearer to provide solace to the people during the turmoils in   Bhalessa . Niaz was born on April 24, 1944, in the village of Changa ,   Bhalessa , and is a law graduate. Being a legal luminary, he was entrusted the responsibility of being the Law Minister of the state in 1989. Having many outstanding achievements in the democratic arena, Niaz joined the student unions, trade unions, and teachers’ unions. He joined the   Congress   party in 1976, worked as a trade union leader, and pleaded the cause of the working class. He was nominated District President of the   Congress   Committee, Doda, in 1979. He unsuccessfully contested the 1983 assembly elections on a   Congress   ticket from Inderwal constituency, but was finally elected in 1987. Bhalessa-Basnota, Bonjawah- Separate Identity imperative for achievable motherhood Jawalapur to Kahaljugaser be made a separate political constituency   Unfortunately, the area has been divided and has not taken care of its geographical proximity or administrative conveniences. , Bhalessa is presently a part of Bhaderwah Constituency including some little part of Bhatyas and chilly hamlets, whereas the areas like of Basnota (Kahara) and Bonjawah are part of Inderwal assembly segment. Owing to the scatteredness of these areas the composite culture has been deteriorated. The regional chauvinism led its head high due to its political dislocation. The local traditional ethos has been damaged and area has been little progressed& planned. It may be due to poor administrative and political set up. The areas like Kahara and Bhatyas are disconnected owing to inadequate administrative presence. The topography of the area is hilly and mountainous. There is Lack of transport communication
