About Sadaket Malik

Sadaket Malik is the founder, crusader and benefactor of  NSWA NGO). Born in a small village in Jammu and Kashmir called Bhalessa, Sadaket Malik originally hails from a town called Bhalessa. His vision to mainkind is clear’. He has always performed his roles of an informed and responsible citizen. Be it the social work in college days, It is evident from his appreciation letters, palethora of articles published internationally.

Remained associated with Nehru Yuva Kendra Doda in 2003 and got District Youth Award-2003-2005 from Dy. Commissioner Doda.
He joined Peoples Union for Civil Liberty (PUCL) in 2007. Worked as Coordinator IGNOU Bhalessa centre in 2006 and was elected  as a Visiting Research Fellow of Third World  Centre Philippine in 2009 to study the Peace keeping Operations and human conflicts in J&K.

He is passionate about social work which includes work that reaches the masses. His journey for social change began in his school days where he worked for Orphans and physically challenged people at Doda District.

In 2003, he was awarded a medal for his social and humanitarian activities by the Vice Chancellor of University of Jammu and that encouraged him even more. He was involved with Akhil Bharat Rachnatmak Samaj headed by Dedi Nirmalla Deshpande for more than seven years (2001-2007) and continued to work as a president (ABRS Student Wing) and won many accolades for his efforts. He was conferred “Gandhi Doot Madel by Dedi Nirmalla DeshPande.  
            He then paved his way to Jammu University where he involved himself in the leadership process by the very first year. He worked as the Working President of Govt. Degree College Union  Bhaderwah and later became the president of National Service Scheme wing of the college.

It was under his able guidance and leadership that Bhaderwah College NSS wing reached new heights and achieved great goals. 120 hours service was rendered by the volunteers in the villages adopted,Under which he inspired many by organising health checkups, blood donation camps and education campaigns.

Education has been a very important concern for him. He moved a Proposal for the setting up of IGNOU Special Centre at Bhalessa and finaly got approval for the same. The need was to make education accessible in the inaccessible area like Bhalessa.
He founded NGO- Students Welfare Association Bhalessa (SWAB) and got it registered from J&K state government in 1999 when he was student in Government Higher Secondary school kilhotran. He Worked as Group Leader of NSS Unit of Bhaderwah College.
he served as Working President of Govt. Degree College Bhaderwah in 2003-04 and pleaded the cause of students, He was appointed as a Departmental Representative (DR) of Department of Education University of Jammu in 2005.
He established IGNOU Special Study Centre in Bhalessa after getting approval from Ministry of HRD and IGNOU New Delhi, and Worked as Coordinator of centre from July 2006 to Jan. 2009.
He has been working with the Web since 2008 and online Magazines like American Chronicle, California Chronicle, (www.americanchronicle.com/authors/view/5357) The Meri News (www.merinews.com/cj/sadaketmalik). The NVO News (http://nvonews.com/nvo-team/) and other 20 media houses as freelancer. Sadaket’s Articles are published in CNN, Meri News, India Post, India News, Kashmir Times, Daily Excelsior, Employment News, Article Base, Amarican Chronicle. His area of writing covers Education, Hindu-Muslim relations and Kashmir Affairs. Some National repute Newspapers of the Government like The Employment News New Delhi has granted to him a space as Paid career columnist.


           

            He has used his literary skills by being part of various magazines published under his leadership with social messages as an NSS leader and part of various other NGOS.
            After graduation he enrolled himself into Masters Degree Programe in Education from University Campus and started his work for a larger impact. He believes in change that can be pursued and felt by all. He wants each and every one to be part of that change.

He initiated a Roadmap called “Roadmap for achievable Motherhood” for Bhalessa so as to unite the scattered  and inaccessible areas of Bhalessa. under the guidance of Dedi Nirmala DeshPande a peace initiative to establish peace in the area. He has worked compassionately with several organizations and his activities were noted by  UNESCO.

He has been part of numerous events for the empowerment and emancipation of women. Youth and Rural strata.
            He has put in efforts to throw light on the socio-educational and political convas of the area.

Sadaket- a writer par excellence is exclusively writing on India’s educational policy parameters as it clearly shows from his plethora of articles published in National and International magazines.
In the booklet entitled “Roots of Bhalessa” Sadaket has tried to bring alive past and present of the tranquil land that has been the arena of his young life.
