Unfortunately, absolutely nothing has been done by Govt. so far since independence to develop tourism in. Full of awe aspiring mountains and pleasant meadows, Bhalessa seems to be one of those places still untouched by modernity, with tiny hamlets, pagodas and nomadic groups
           There is enough potential to hold back the tourist in Bhalessa and areas around for at least a fortnight. Imagine how much good it could do to the local economy. Places of pilgrimage if promoted will help bringing the tourist to these areas even while the infrastructure is being developed. Of course The Tourism Development Authority required have to be established.
           Bhalessa presents beautiful picturesque as well as attractive fields on way to Padri Top which could be promoted as a health resort as well as a picnic spot. This is a connection line of Bhalessa and Bhaderwah. An everlasting Glacier, Bal Padri is just 15 Km from Padri Top/ Dhaar/ Khanni Top on foot/ horse back from Bhaderwah side. It is on huge heights and one could find large snow field here even in the month of June. Enough scope exists for Gandola rope ways. Bhadherwah to Kansar could be a good Gandola venture with Khanni Top, Padri Dhaar , Nagni MataTemple and Jaai Valley are lying around Bhalessa.  Unfortunately, the area has been divided and has not taken care of geographical proximity or administrative conveniences. The areas like Bonjawah, Kahara, Basnota, Pingal and Cilly. There seemed more or less discrimination meted to people of these areas.

Bhalessa Religious Canvas Sadaket Malik MARKAZI JAMIA MASJID AND KALGONI TEMPLE THE   area has several temples in the vernacular style in Bhalessa area. Some of them are in Bheja and Gandoh. The main temple Kalgoni may be a typical example such temples and is located at an idyllic location on the top of a ridge, providing a magnificent panoramic view on all sides. Most of the temples are surrounded with thick deodar trees, away from habitation. It is named after the major stream of Bhalessa "Kalgoni' which stretches from "Kansozoo" and merges into the Chenab thereafter. The Kalgoni Temple has all along remained a source of Hindu Muslim amity. The surroundings of this temple are virtually barren. In front of the temple, at a distance, is a raised platform (Chabutra). TRANSPORTATION

 CUSSED ROADS Bhalessa has a very tough terrain so the communication system/means of transportation is very difficult. The area is located in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir is still facing step motherly treatment and authorities are reluctant to act as the transportation in the area is in a bad shape. In this age of digitalization, the area is witnessing an acute transport like buses for the poor masses to travel from one hamlet to another.           Notwithstanding claims of the successive state governments to accelerate developmental activities in the remotest areas of the Jammu region, the Bhalessa area of Doda district exposes all claims of the authorities to take "revolutionary" steps for the development and betterment of the neglected and the remote areas. However, the area is evidence that except slogans the authorities failed to speed up road connectivity. If one goes deep in the remote areas of Doda district, the real picture exposes claims of the authorities.B
